The Role

The Audio Visual Technician will work closely with academic departments IT services facilities staff and senior leadership to provide day-to-day technical support for lessons assemblies performances and school events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up operate and maintain audio visual equipment including sound lighting and projection systems.

  • Provide technical support for assemblies concerts productions lectures and external lettings.

  • Troubleshoot faults and respond promptly to staff requests.

  • Maintain equipment carry out routine checks and coordinate repairs or upgrades.

  • Support staff and pupils in the effective use of AV and presentation technologies.

  • Assist with stage hall and venue preparation as required.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience in an AV sound lighting or technical support role.

  • Good working knowledge of common AV and multimedia systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

  • A proactive flexible approach with excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

  • Willingness to support occasional evening or weekend events.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
