Data Support Officer

Overview:

• Full-Time Fixed-Term position until March 2027

• Salary Level HEW 5 17% Superannuation

• Based at the Melbourne CBD campus and hybrid ways of working

About the role

As Data Support Officer you will play a key role in ensuring accurate actionable data by managing ingestion quality checks and dashboard updates. This role delivers scheduled and ad hoc reporting summarising trends and opportunities in clear accessible language.

Working closely with stakeholders it refines requirements validates outputs and supports decision-making drawing on intermediate Excel basic SQL and developing Power BI/DAX skills with growth supported for candidates building qualifications through relevant experience.

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Demonstrated ability to collect clean and integrate data from multiple sources run basic data quality checks and document issues.

• Ability to assist with the preparation of dashboard charts and routine reports and to describe findings in clear plain language.

• Experience in gathering requirements validating outputs with business users presenting insights to a non-technical audience.

• Intermediate Excel including formulas lookups pivot tables and Power Query; Basic SQL; Power BI and DAX desirable; understanding of relational concepts.
