Education and Experience Required:
Degree (Associates or Bachelors) and one (1) year of experience in occupational safety and health.
Certifications Licenses or Registration Required:
HAZWOPER certification required post-hire within one year.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of applicable federal state and local laws ordinances statutes regulations rules policies and procedures. Skills in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with applicable safety codes and instructional and hands-on training ability to work in or around hazardous conditions such as exposure to flames chemicals and biological agents (required to wear personal protective equipment).The ability to communicate effectively and react calmly in emergency ability to gather data compile information and prepare and/or present reports.
