Located in Jackson MS UMMC is the states only academic health science center with the mission to improve the lives of Mississippians by educating tomorrows health care professionals by conducting health sciences research and by providing cutting edge patient care. Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Preferred:
- Terminal degree (MD PhD in Health Sciences Medicine or BioMedical Education and four years experience as director of Graduate level health science in education)
- Excellent leadership skills
- Budget Management
- Working knowledge of the educational requirements of undergraduate medical and resident training programs
- Maintains literacy and understanding of medical procedures
- Able to explore and adapt new simulation technologies
- Good writing skills
- Able to collaborate well with clinicians and basic scientists
- Experience in clinical education including giving effective feedback to trainees in high intensity environments
- Experience with health sciences accreditation processes
- Experience working in leading and evaluating interprofessional healthcare delivery teams
