The Payroll Administrator II in support of the companys corporate accounting and payroll team is responsible for supporting and assisting the Director of Payroll in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees within our organization.

To be successful as a Payroll Administrator II they must have familiarity with payroll systems knowledge of wage and hour laws taxes a high level of accuracy attention to detail and confidentiality. Additionally proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications be detail oriented highly organized and able to meet essential deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are essential but not limited to duties and responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and processing biweekly payroll cycles for hourly and salaried employees

Maintain employee payroll records including new hires terminations promotions and benefit deductions

Verify accuracy of timesheets and resolve any discrepancies with employees or managers

Process manual checks adjustments and off-cycle payrolls as needed

Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay deductions and taxes

Ensure compliance with local state and federal payroll regulations

Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 and other tax reporting

Requirements

Knowledge Technical and Soft Skills Required:

Working knowledge of payroll and time capture systems (e.g. ADP Miter HH2)

Knowledge of wage and hour laws taxes and garnishments

Strong analysis skills

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

High level of accuracy attention to detail and confidentiality

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly with Excel

Collaboration/teamwork


Education and Experience:

Associates degree in Accounting Business Administration or related field (equivalent experience accepted)

Minimum 5 years of payroll or accounting/administrative experience

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred but not required.

Basic to medium working knowledge of Excel and MS office applications
