Business Services Coordinator-Institutional Operations

Job Summary:

Supports UMMCs clinical mission by assisting with basic business improvement projects in clinical and operational areas. Helps gather organize and analyze data to support informed decision-making and process improvements. Works under the supervision of senior staff to support project planning reporting and workflow evaluations.

Bachelors degree

Prior work experience in business operations or healthcare setting

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Basic understanding of data collection and business processes. Ability to learn and apply analytical tools to support projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks. Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with gathering and organizing data for operational and business performance reviews.
  • Support senior analysts in preparing basic reports summaries and presentations.
  • Help maintain tracking systems and dashboards related to project or departmental metrics.
  • Participate in planning meetings to take notes and contribute to follow-up tasks.
  • Assist in developing visualizations or templates for business reporting tools.
  • Provide basic research support to benchmark internal processes against industry standards.
  • Help monitor timelines and deliverables for small-scale improvement initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for budgets project charters and policy drafts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business planning or operational improvement
