Description of Work
Lead Technical Assistance Consultant will actively engage in the review and analyzing of new and existing Local Reentry Councils (LRC) address problem areas ensure the LRCs are following the states Local Reentry Council model policies and procedures. Coordinate and lead out LRC trainings and technical assistance with the Case Management Tool through Unite Us. Support Users technical needs and program engagement. Travel to LRC site locations and consult with local LRC leaders to discuss problem areas and solutions. Assist with the development of policy changes quality assurance and effectiveness strategize to help build effective partnerships for state funded Local Reentry Councils and counties interested in becoming a state affiliated Local Reentry Councils. Provide support leadership and coordination for other programs and may be required to serve on various committees or work groups within the section.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Management Preference
Working experience with analyzing interpreting and assessing the impact of regulations procedures and legislative proposals
Working knowledge of economic social technological needs and resources available within the state of North Carolina to meet the needs of justice-involved individuals as well as about the principles and methods of community organization
Working experience with justice-involved individuals
Working experience with planning coordinating and directing a statewide development program
Working experience in budgeting processes program compliance reporting and overall fiscal management activities
About The Division of Rehabilitation and Reentry:
The Rehabilitation and Reentry Division oversees services programs and community partnerships aimed at helping individuals reintegrate into their communities following incarceration. Staff members work with people who are incarcerated probationers post-release supervisees and parolees. This division collaborates with prison and supervision staff to create individualized reentry plans coordinate services and deliver evidence-based programs to improve outcomes and reduce recidivism.

Veterans and National Guard Preference

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in sociology psychology political science business administration or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in social work public administration or a field directly related to the specific program assignment.
