TheCity of Milpitas Recreation & Community Services Department is accepting applications for the 2026 Milpitas Youth Force (MYF) Program!

Milpitas Youth Force (MYF) is a youth summer job program that will prepare Milpitas teens ages 16-18 to successfully and confidently enter the workforce by providing new opportunities goal setting hands-on exposure breaking down barriers career skill building and valuable job experience.

As a part of the program participants will be given:

Business attire stipend
Team Building Opportunities
Paid work experience

Complete the Education Section in full: Must be a Milpitas resident between the ages of 16 and 18 and currently enrolled in high school.

Work Experience is notrequired: You may skip this section of the application.

Employment Information:

Pay:$18.20 per hour
Work Hours: Up to 20 hours per week for the eight-week program.
Schedule:Part-time; flexible hours during regular business hours (Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM)
- Work will be primarily on-site at the place of business or City of Milpitas facility.
Employment Status: Unbenefited and unrepresented.
Additional employment requirements may include:
- Tuberculosis (TB) test for those working with children
- Fingerprint clearance (Department of Justice) and online background check (Clearstar) if 18 years of age.
Program Duration:
- Start Date: June 15 2026
- End Date: August 7 2026
- Please note that every Friday is a mandatory professional development training from 5-6 p.m. at the Milpitas Teen Center. All participants must attend each training.
