Job Summary

SUMMARY

The Social Worker serves the student whose social emotional and/or family problems interfere with his/her capacity to function adequately within an educational environment. The Social Worker professionally assesses the problem(s) in order to provide and refer for interventions that help eliminate barriers to learning. Interventions may include the school family and/or community resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Current License as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health
Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of social work
Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Provider

Dependable mode of transportation

Availability to work flexible hours as needed

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual - Spanish/English

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Drivers license (Arizona Drivers Licenserequiredwithin 30 days of hire)
MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described underGoverning Board Policy: EEB-R-1Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.

Site: Exceptional Education Department - Location: Multiple Sites - District-Wide

FTE: 1.0 7.5 hours per day- 2 positions available
Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any positions that are 0.6 FTE or less and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
