Overview

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and track incidents related to antisemitism hate crimes and extremism across D.C. Maryland North Carolina and Virginia
  • Support anti-bias initiatives through research data entry and project support for the Field Operations team
  • Assist with preparation and logistics for board meetings programs and external events
  • Monitor local news legislation and digital platforms for issues related to antisemitism hate bias and discrimination
  • Create content for newsletters to keep external partnerships engaged in our efforts
  • Attend internal staff meetings and take detailed notes to support team follow-up
  • Uphold ADLs mission and values in all work maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Attend and participate in the ADL Summer Internship Learning Program sessions where you will get to have discussions with accomplished leaders and subject matter experts at ADL

Compensation and Hours

  • This internship is paid $18.40 per hour in Washington D.C.
  • The internship is 15 hours per week.

Location

  • This internship will be hybrid with on-site presence required in Washington District of Columbia.
  • Availability on Mondays and Thursdays is preferred with a minimum of one day per week in the office.


What will you do during this internship

  • You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL.
  • You will have practical hands-on experience with incident tracking community engagement and supporting the Washington D.C. Regional Offices efforts to combat hate and extremism.
  • Collaborate with meet and learn from ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.
