Location: Akron OH 44307
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 5x8 Hour Shifts (3:00 PM 11:30 PM)

Position Overview

Seeking a Registered EEG Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience to support neurodiagnostic services in an acute care hospital setting. The technologist will perform electroencephalogram (EEG) studies and related neurodiagnostic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and extended EEG studies
Prepare patients for procedures and explain testing processes
Apply electrodes and ensure accurate recording of brain wave activity
Monitor patients during testing and document clinical observations
Recognize and report abnormalities to interpreting physicians
Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration
Adhere to hospital safety and infection control protocols
Collaborate with neurologists and interdisciplinary care teams

Requirements

Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T) required
Minimum 2 years of EEG experience required
Acute care/hospital experience preferred
Ability to work mid-shift hours (3:00 PM 11:30 PM)
Ability to work every other weekend
Flexibility for holiday coverage as needed
