UnityPoint Health is seeking a strategic Senior Manager of Accounts Payable to lead AP operations across all entities. This role oversees end-to-end accounts payable functions ensuring compliance accuracy and efficiency while driving process improvements and automation.

• Lead day-to-day leadership of the Accounts Payable function ensuring efficient accurate and timely processing of all payables.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and drive system automation to enhance efficiency accuracy and scalability.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and prevent errors or irregularities.
• Oversee invoice review and payment activities ensuring timely payments and maximizing available discounts.
• Monitor vendor credit balances and refunds ensuring prompt reconciliation and resolution.
• Lead mentor and develop the Accounts Payable team fostering a collaborative customer servicefocused culture.
• Establish clear performance standards and ensure consistent execution of best practices across the team.
• Encourage team-driven innovation by promoting change recommendations and implementing improved processes and procedures.
• Resolve complex or escalated payment issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required governmental reporting including 1099 filings.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to Accounts Payable including follow-up on outstanding items.
• Manage short- and long-term departmental goals aligning priorities with organizational objectives.
• Develop and track key performance metrics drive continuous improvement and promote efficient effective A/P operations.
• Oversee staffing coaching performance management and ongoing team development.

Bachelors degree in Accounting required with a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience. Management experience in a healthcare organization is highly preferred.
