Job Summary
Cedar Park Med is hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for an Adult Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a fast-paced acute care hospital. This is a 13-week assignment with possible extension ideal for nurses confident in IV starts lab draws and telemetry monitoring and ready to step into a structured unit with minimal orientation.
Shift / Schedule
- Day shift 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- 23 major holidays required
- 13-week assignment (possible extension)
Position Overview
As an RN on the Adult Med/Surg Telemetry unit you will care for adult patients across a range of acuity levels while managing telemetry monitoring and delivering safe efficient acute care. This role requires strong clinical judgment solid technical skills and dependable documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct RN care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Perform patient assessments and monitor telemetry
- Start IVs draw labs and administer medications/treatments as ordered
- Report changes in patient condition and collaborate with the care team
- Document care accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- Current New York State RN license/registration
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- Minimum 1.5 years recent RN experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care hospital of similar size and acuity
- Ability to start IVs draw labs and monitor telemetry
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience
