Job Summary

Job Title: Travel Surgical Technologist
Location: Atlanta GA
Department: Operating Room (Level 1 Trauma)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10-Hour Day Shift
Schedule: 6:45 AM 5:15 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
On-Call: Required (Including Holidays & Weekends)

Compensation:

Gross Weekly: $1660/week
W2 Rate: $17/hour
Weekly Stipend: $980/week

Job Summary:

A leading Level 1 hospital in Atlanta GA is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong trauma OR experience and the ability to function effectively in a high-acuity fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain sterile field in accordance with hospital and AORN standards.
Set up operating room with appropriate surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist surgeons during trauma and complex surgical procedures.
Pass instruments maintain counts (sponges needles instruments) and anticipate surgeon needs.
Ensure proper handling of surgical specimens.
Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases.
Participate in on-call rotation including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
Strong Level 1 Trauma OR experience Mandatory.
Trauma experience must be clearly documented in work history.
Strong skills checklist rating required.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure trauma setting.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
