Pay Rate:$45 - $47/hour

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher Autism to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school-based setting. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction implementing IEPs and promoting students academic behavioral and social development within a structured and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with ASD

• Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with academic behavioral and functional goals

• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies and positive behavior intervention plans

• Collaborate with general education teachers therapists paraprofessionals and related service providers

• Collect and analyze student data to measure progress and adjust instruction accordingly

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and district regulations

• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports communication independence and social skill development

• Communicate regularly with parents guardians and multidisciplinary team members regarding student progress

Required Qualifications

• Valid Special Education Teaching License/Certification (State of Virginia or eligible)

• Endorsement or certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related area (as required by state guidelines)

• Experience working with students with ASD in a school-based setting

• Strong knowledge of IEP development behavioral interventions and differentiated instruction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based strategies

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or behavioral intervention training

• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational teams

Education Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Special Education or related field (Required)

• Masters Degree (Preferred)
