Schedule: 4- 8 hr shifts 3p-11p
Overview:
The milk technician is responsible for the preparation labeling storage and delivery of all infant feedings in the NICU. This includes human milk feedings (mothers own milk and pasteurized donor human milk (PDHM) as well as ready to feed formula. Supports and assists the healthcare team in the preparation distribution and inventory control of breastmilk and performs other duties as necessary for the provision of family focused services. Works cooperatively with all members of the medical team including physicians nurses pharmacists dietitians patient care associates/secretaries and family members of patients. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Mercy Mission Values and Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate
Experience: 1-2 years experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
