Department Overview

The TETRA Devices Software Engineering organization a key component of the TETRA Devices business segment at Motorola Solutions consists of a diverse group of product architects solutions architects software engineers and test engineers. We are situated across various global locations working collaboratively to develop next-generation solutions that serve our mission critical customers. It is these mission critical customers that trust and rely on TETRA Devices to be their best in the moments that matter.

The TETRA Devices Software Team follows modern software development practices such as continuous integration/continuous deployment DevOps component-level and system-level automated testing. We use Agile methodologies to organize our work and we are responsible for end-to-end software development life-cycle. As a TETRA Device Software Team member you will be responsible for delivering uncompromising quality solutions for a customer base that demands the highest level of assurance that their needs will be served with the products and solutions you develop


Job Description

Responsibilities
Developing a deep understanding of customer needs through market & customer research
Setting product vision strategy and roadmaps
Managing business priorities based on input from leadership and key stakeholders
Documenting product requirements user stories & offer strategy
Creating a business case and financial goals
Work with enablement organizations to make products orderable and deliverable
Support go to market activities & facilitate sales and channel training
Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope schedule and quality
Strategic partner and third party supplier management


Basic Requirements

Desired Skills:
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are a necessity
Polished presentation skills for internal and external audiences
Proactive enthusiastic attitude toward challenging problems
Capable of quickly evaluating and prioritizing new projects alongside customer feedback
Strong ability to take complex user requirements and distill them into a format that can be understood by developers as well as non-technical staff.
Ability to research and analyze project requirements from various stakeholders
Ability to understand market trends financial data and customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data.
Can quickly understand new technical concepts and their impact on the business/market
Build consensus among stakeholders
Ability to work well independently and as part of a diverse multi-cultural team spread across multiple continents in a fast-moving environment
Ability to multi-task among various assignments
Advanced time management and prioritization skills
Self-motivated and autonomous.

Qualifications:
7 years progressive relevant technology experience in engineering or Product Planning/Product Marketing/Product Management
Educated to degree level in a suitable subject - e.g. Engineering with business/marketing or product management
Experience with enterprise tools such JIRA Tableau and Confluence

Basic Requirements:
Fluent in English
Bachelors degree
MBA or other graduate degree preferred but not required
Travel will range from 10-25%
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
