Job Summary
Summary:Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. Duties include preparing patients for exams operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting ultrasound images.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures positioning patients and applying gel to the skin.
Qualifications
Education:
Associates degree in Sonography required
Licenses and Credentials:
MA State License (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)
Preferred Certifications:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with vascular ultrasound equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
