About You

Are you a recent graduate or looking to kick-start your career in social media and digital contentWerelooking for a junior content creator to join RMITs social media team and support the delivery of the Universitys strategy with high-quality social-first storytelling.

TheSocial Media Content Creator role is a junior role within RMITs dynamicand creative social media team. This team supports the strategicobjectivesof the University by managing RMITs public presence across all major social media platforms.

Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager Social Media the roleis responsible forresponding to stakeholder briefs to ideate and create social-first content for RMITs official social media accounts.

To be successful in this position youwillhaveas a minimum:

Demonstrated experience creating social-media content specifically in filming and editing full-screen vertical video
Proficient editing in Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro Photoshop) and Canva
Demonstrated understanding of social media analytics and reporting
A working understanding of how to use data toidentifyopportunities
High-level communications skills andproficiencyin written English
Experience and/or willingness to be on camera viewedfavourablybut not a requirement
Ability toparticipatein a workplace culture of high performance and accountability for outcomes.

Our ideal candidate will havedemonstratedexperience in social media content creation specifically design and video production a thorough understanding of current social media platforms and best-practice and an interest in online community building and management.
