JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the planning coordination and drives the execution of Food & Beverage projects and special events for the Parks. This role partners closely with the Senior Manager Food & Beverage Special Events & Premium Products as well as key external stakeholders and internal support teams to ensure successful delivery of event and project initiatives that align with operational brand and guest experience standards. The position focuses on executional excellence cross-department coordination and operational readiness for marquee events ongoing initiatives and future expansion projects within Universal Orlando Resort (UOR) Food & Beverage.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the execution of significant marquee events and special projects for Food & Beverage across the resort including Halloween Horror Nights Mardi Gras New Years Eve Rock the Universe Grad Bash Annual Passholder Events and future expansion projects.
- Drives project execution throughout UOR to ensure consistency operational readiness and alignment with brand standards. Support long-term Food & Beverage expansion planning including new venues temporary concepts and evolving event formats. Establishes and maintains best practices standards and processes to support consistency scalability and continuous improvement.
- Engages in the development and planning of project plans including timelines operational requirements cost estimates documentation and deliverables under the direction of the Senior Manager.
- Serves as a day-to-day Food & Beverage point of contact for assigned projects and events partnering with Marketing Brand Management Shared Services and Operations across both campuses. Support Parks Food & Beverage projects and initiatives such as the Mobile Food Ordering Annual Pass promotions partnership activations and other department programs across North and South Campus.
- Manages the review routing and approval process for Marketing and Brand collateral related to Food & Beverage projects and events. Participates in cross-functional meetings task forces and planning sessions with Marketing Brand Management Sourcing Revenue Management and Operations to support consistent execution across both campuses.
- Collaborates with Revenue Management and assists with competitive research and benchmarking of local competitors; compiles data and provides input related to pricing strategies product offerings and promotional plans. Tracks project progress identifies risks or execution challenges and communicates updates and recommendations to the Senior Manager.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of experience in the theme park industry or related field.
- 1 years in project/special event management/supervision preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- High-level decision making
- Occasional travel may be required
- Must be able to work a flexible and varied schedule based on special events and business demands.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Strong knowledge of large-scale Food & Beverage operations within a theme park resort or entertainment environment.
- Proven ability to lead complex multi-department projects and seasonal event programs.
- Exceptional cross-functional communication stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
