Position Overview
An established organization in the testing and technical services industry is seeking a Technical Services Representative to support customers throughout the testing lifecycle. This role serves as a key liaison between customers inside sales and laboratory operations ensuring technical accuracy feasibility and exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills with the ability to understand and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Educate customers and recommend appropriate solutions based on their testing needs
Provide technical assistance with test program setup and requirements
Support customers before during and after testing is completed
Document and record all customer interactions accurately and thoroughly
Review project feasibility with the Inside Sales Leader
Analyze and summarize testing standards and engineering drawings
Prepare cost proposals for testing services across multiple locations
Follow up on open opportunities and pending test requests
Host in-person facility tours as needed
Represent the organization at trade shows and industry events
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Associates degree in a science or technology-related field
Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience including significant written correspondence
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts at varying levels of complexity
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Working knowledge of algebra and geometry
Professional business etiquette and customer-facing skills
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of customer service experience
Bachelors degree in a hard science field (Biology Chemistry Physics etc.)
Experience in a testing or manufacturing laboratory environment
Familiarity with national and international testing standards (ASTM ISO DIN etc.)
