Jr. Mid-Office and Risk Analyst - Amsterdam
Founded in 2017 Maverick Derivatives is a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Amsterdam with a second office in Singapore. We specialise in U.S. Equity Options Crypto Options and Delta One products trading primarily on U.S. markets and crypto exchanges.
At Maverick we combine technology and trader-driven strategies: our in-house trading software allows quick adaptation to changing markets while traders take ownership early designing and implementing strategies alongside experienced colleagues.

What Youll Be Doing
- Daily reconciliation of our trading book.
- Support the trading team in ensuring the accuracy of the information they rely on.
- Ensure the trading team stays within limits defined by the regulator and Head of Treasury.
- Decipher external data implement new tools and guide the development team in fine-tuning risk and mid-office systems.
- Work side by side with traders on the trading floor helping them understand the ecosystem around their trading screens.
- Collect data and use it to challenge trading decisions.
- Help improve firm-wide understanding of costs interest and market data in the financial markets back-end.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Youre eager to start your career in the financial industry.
- You have at least a Bachelors degree (academic or HBO) preferably in Finance Economics or another STEM subject.
- You have strong analytical skills you pay attention to detail and you have the patience to work through large volumes of tasks.
- You enjoy working independently and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
- You are available to work 32 to 40 hours per week in a hybrid setup (at least 3 days on-site).
- Preferably you have entry-level programming skills (Python Java or SQL).
- You are based in the Netherlands.

The Interview Process:
- Introductory Interview (Duration: 30 minutes);
- In-person Interviews plus aptitude assessment (Duration: 2 hours)
