Position Overview
CREA is seeking a talented Assistant Vice President Syndications who will serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned investor accounts and will oversee all related activities from pipeline development through closing. This role partners closely with internal teams to structure investments support due diligence and deliver strong outcomes for our investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned investor relationships by understanding investment objectives and developing deal pipelines in collaboration with the Originations team
- Lead investor calls site visits due diligence meetings and ongoing relationship management activities
- Represent investor interests internally including participation in Investment Committee preparation and review
- Coordinate with Syndications Acquisitions and Legal teams to ensure investor-specific terms are reflected in underwriting and closing documentation
- Support negotiation of financial terms in equity letters of intent and upper-tier fund agreements in coordination with senior leadership
- Develop proficiency in upper-tier fund modeling including benefit schedules and profitability analysis
- Facilitate investor review of required diligence materials and assist with fund and deal closings
- Coordinate upper-tier partnership closings with internal teams investors and outside counsel
- Travel to conferences site visits annual meetings and investor events as needed
- Provide support to other team members and perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in real estate finance economics or a related business field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in LIHTC syndication or related experience in multi-family real estate investment analysis underwriting or finance
- Strong analytical communication and relationship-management skills
- High level of initiative attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel and Word skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; overtime may be required during peak periods
