Job Description

Salary

$27.386 - $29.691

Full Time Contract expected to end February 2027

The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for accurately reviewing transcribing and editing medical reports dictated by physicians and other healthcare providers for all clinical work types using the hospitals dictation systems. This role plays a key part in supporting timely highquality clinical documentation that facilitates safe and effective patient care. The successful candidate must be able to manage a fastpaced highvolume workload while serving as a primary point of contact for physicians providing training onboarding and support for dictation tools frontend speech recognition and AIenabled documentation workflows.

The successful incumbent will ensure the production of highquality clinical documentation derived from physician dictation frontend speech recognition and AI transcription technologies. This position requires close collaboration with physicians and clinical teams and contributes to advancing digital documentation tools and processes within Cambridge Memorial addition to supporting AIenabled workflows this role will also provide general transcription services for the organization. Physical demands of the job may include prolonged sitting standing walking bending lifting pushing and pulling.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Transcription Certificate program and/or equivalent experience with an Associate Degree in Health Information Management or a related field is required.
  • Knowledge of Fluency Flex Fluency Manager and AI Scribe is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Medical Transcription experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy physiology clinical medicine surgery diagnostic testing radiology pathology and relevant medical specialties associated with assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical transcription guidelines and best practices including the ability to work with diverse accents dialects and dictation styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to create customized templates based on physician documentation requirements and preferences is required.
  • Ability to train and support physicians on frontend speech recognition and AI Scribe workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians and external vendors to troubleshoot issues resolve system challenges and support workflow improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in English writing and grammar.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly MS Word is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance is required.
