Job Summary

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our internal engineering team focused on building and maintaining business-critical applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with PHP and modern JavaScript demonstrates a clean-code mindset and ownership and thrives in a collaborative pragmatic environment that values long-term maintainability.

Location: Prague / Hybrid
Language: English (professional working proficiency)
Contract Type: Full time

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain features across frontend (HTML5 CSS3/SCSS JavaScript ES6 jQuery jQuery UI Select2 Bootstrap) and backend (PHP 8.3 CodeIgniter 4.4).
Build optimize and maintain PostgreSQL queries schemas and stored routines.
Integrate third-party libraries such as TCPDF for PDF and QR-code generation.
Work with complex data tables and jQuery plugins to enable rich UI interactions.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver reliable maintainable solutions.
Work in an Agile Kanban environment with continuous delivery practices.
Use Git (Git Desktop / Git Extensions) for version control and release management.
Develop within Visual Studio Code using recommended plugins and configurations.
Support troubleshooting debugging and continuous improvements based on operational needs.

Requirements:

Solid experience with PHP and a modern framework (CodeIgniter Laravel or similar).
Strong understanding of jQuery and modern JavaScript (ES6).
Practical experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Experience with responsive frontend development using HTML5/CSS3/SCSS.
Ability to work with and gradually modernize legacy codebases.
Experience using Git in collaborative engineering teams.
Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Nice to have:

Experience with additional jQuery plugins or data-rich UI components.
Understanding of PDF generation libraries (e.g. TCPDF).
Exposure to containerization or CI/CD pipelines.
Awareness of web application security best practices.
