Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students in an Autism-focused classroom setting. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction implement IEP goals and foster a structured supportive learning environment that promotes student growth independence and academic success.

Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education teachers therapists and support staff
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and effective classroom management strategies
Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
Maintain accurate documentation progress reports and compliance records
Communicate effectively with families caregivers and school administrators
Ensure a safe inclusive and structured classroom environment

Qualifications

Valid Special Education Teaching License/Certification (Virginia)
Experience working with students with Autism preferred
Strong knowledge of IEP development and behavior management strategies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
