Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital Solutions (RAD) group is recruiting for aSenior Software Engineer - Vision Engineering R&D located inCincinnati OH.

At Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital Solutions were changing the trajectory of health for humanity using robotics to enhance healthcare providers abilities and improve patients diagnoses treatments and recovery times. Johnson & Johnson Robotics was established in 2020 with the integration of Auris Health Verb Surgical C-SATS and Ethicon. It comprises three key med-tech platforms: Flexible Robotics (MONARCH) Surgical Robotics (OTTAVA) and Digital Solutions. Johnson & Johnson MedTech is developing a robotic surgical platform that will set a new standard for the modern OR and transform the surgical experience. OTTAVA is designed as a multi-specialty soft-tissue surgery robot activating the benefits of AI/ML connecting health data inside the operating room and out.

Overview:

The Senior Software Engineer is a key team member for our Vision Engineering product pipeline leading and conducting a wide range of assignments in collaboration with the team. This represents an excellent opportunity if you are excited by building transformational surgical capabilities and working in a multi-functional environment.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Plan develop and validate in hardware System software communication interfaces and image signal processing solutions for laparoscopic visualization and advanced imaging products and concepts.

• Develop technical requirements and architecture collaborating with internal and external team members that will support not just a product but a platform for long-term growth.

• Execute subsystem technical strategies and influence internal multi-functional teams to execute feasibility and product development efforts.

• Manage project and technical work youre doing to meet the goals of assigned projects.

• Collaborate with external technology companies to integrate advanced imaging technologies into proprietary visualization platforms.

• Partner with external product development / manufacturing organizations in defining requirements executing electronic and software subsystems and launching new products.

• Establish and maintain strong productive relationships and collaborations across internal external and partner organizations.

• Conducting and/or participating in technical design reviews of requirements specifications designs etc.

• Contribute to all aspects of design control activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills Education And Experience:

• 4 years of experiencein product design and development including demonstrated success developing system software that interfaces with embedded devices.

• Proven ability to translateuser and system-level requirementsinto scalable hardware/software architectures detailed designs communication interfaces and high-quality software deliverables.

• Strong working knowledge ofsystem software design tools operating systems and programming languages such as C Linux and Python.

• Solid understanding of thefull software development lifecycle including requirements development design implementation verification and maintenance.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills Education And Experience:

• Hands-on experience developing software inregulated or medical device environments with familiarity with design controls documentation standards and quality system requirements.

• Experience working withJama JSON-RPC and DDS or similar requirements management and communication frameworks.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $92000.00 to $148350.00

The Company maintains highly competitive performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.
