Job Summary

Description

The Receptionist/HR Assistant is responsible for assisting with recruiting hiring and onboarding processes of all new part-time Event Staff and Security employees in Houston Texas. This is a high volume service industry recruiting position. (500 annually)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves visitors by greeting welcoming and directing them appropriately.
  • Notifies company personnel of visitor arrival.
  • Informs visitors by answering or referring inquiries.
  • Directs visitors
  • Maintains security by following procedures monitoring logbook.
  • Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
  • Supports continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

TEAM BUILDING /EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

  • Assist with new part time Event Staff and Security employee onboarding and welcoming
  • Assisting in the management of the office and tasks projects and people sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly
  • Maintain an open line of communication with other 5 STAR supervisors and managers
  • Maintain an open line of communication with the 5 STAR corporate team
  • Build rapport with employees


Qualifications

Education Experience and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred. (University/college degree is an asset)
  • Ability to obtain TX DPS Private Security Bureau Level II Guard Card
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills a passion for people & love to talk to people.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency be detailed oriented independent & have excellent organizational/communication skills.
  • Must be proactive resourceful and willing to work a very flexible schedule (office & events including evenings and weekends).
  • Listening verbal communication organizational & telephone skills
  • Handles pressure professionally with an emphasis on employee and customer focus
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office software preferred
  • Familiarity with phone systems
  • Supply management of basic office essentials
