BLENDING:
1. Understand origin of teas herbs and spices and various suppliers of ingredients.
2. Understand various grades (dust TBC C/S Whole Powder etc.) of ingredients.
3. Follow blending procedures:
a. Pull ingredients from WIP (work in progress) area only.
b. Only pull ingredients from rack when needed while documenting the rack inventory sheet.
c. Blend accurately using appropriate recipes for teabags loose teas and iced teas AND private label.
4. Inform Management of any recipe changes or recipe errors.
5. Create samples of new blends as requested for new flavor development.
6. Create samples for tasting of all existing blends after each recipe is blended.
7. Book Keeping:
a. Understand lot coding requirements.
b. Maintain active blending book per ingredient lot code for all customers.
c. Archive completed blend recipes in Archive Binder.
d. Lock Away/Store recipe book in cabinet after each days use to protect intellectual property.
8. Develop and maintain WIP area for ingredients (TBC and Bulk) based on recurring blending needs.
9. Proactively discuss/inform management of ingredient requirements.
10. Help production workers with case barrel or ingredient requirement for orders.
11. Conduct departmental work such as quality sanitation cleanliness and productivity tasks.
12. Training:
a. Understanding TBC and Bulk Ingredients and comparing
b. Flavors (dry/liquid organic/conventional customer)
c. Understanding TBC and Bulk Recipe (reading and entering)
d. Various Private Label Recipes
e. Recipe Book Management (Master Active Archive)
f. Receiving PS and lot coding procedures
g. Ingredient Inventory Storage on Rack and Sample Storage Procedures
h. Ingredient Approval Procedure (sample vs. shipment)
i. Milling/Sifting Procedures
j. Rework Procedures
k. Blending (TBC vs. Bulk)
