A well-established and growing financial services organisation is seeking a Financial Planner & Analyst to join its Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical individual with a passion for data and financial planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing financial performance supporting strategic decision-making and contributing to the overall financial health of the business. The role reports directly to the Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts (revenue expenses and cash flow)
- Conduct detailed financial and operational analysis to identify trends and evaluate profitability
- Provide financial insights to support investment decisions new projects and business strategy
- Build and maintain financial models for scenario planning and ad hoc analysis
- Assist with monthly reporting packs and management dashboards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance Marketing Credit etc.) to gather data and align on business objectives
Requirements:- Bachelors degree in Finance or a related field
- 25 years experience in FP&A or a Financial Analyst role
- Advanced Excel skills (financial functions pivot tables and VBA)
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases
- Experience in the retail or lending industry advantageous but not essential
Key Competencies:- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
- Naturally curious with a strong desire to learn
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently
