QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree or higher from a recognized accredited college or university;
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience required; and
- Certication as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in Texas required.
- Native to near native Spanish speaker.
- Experience in bilingual assessment and second language learners.

Probationary/Term Contract:193 days
SALARY:
$66267 (IA-3) as approved by the Board of Trustees
Plus $4000 stipend with certification
Plus $4000 stipend with bilingual teacher certification
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs all duties related to the identication of students with disabilities.
- Demonstrate high level of skill regarding understanding of bilingual phenomenon and expertise and familiarity with bilingual assessment tools.
- Demonstrates and communicates high level of skill regarding the educational implications of students who live in a bilingual environment.
- Provides expert consultation skills for all evaluators and educators working with students from a bilingual environment including languages other than Spanish.
- Completes all necessary documents for district processes regarding the provision of special education services.
- Conducts psychoeducational evaluations to assess students exposed to Spanish to determine eligibility for services and evaluate student progress.
- Assists in interpretation of assessment data for students evaluated according to district procedures.
- Completes all necessary documents for district processes regarding the provision of special education services.
- Follows district state and federal regulations.
- Meets all required timelines for assessment reports and documentation.
- Facilitates the coordinated efforts of evaluation personnel and service providers.
- Attends all required meetings and staff development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
- Follows district state and federal regulations.
- Attends Individual Education Plan meetings to assist in data interpretation and planning for students services.
