About the role

Project Support Maritime Advisory PMCA & Maritime Design

  • Providing highquality advisory support across Maritime domain projects including planning risk assessment performance reporting and project documentation.
  • Supporting PMCA (Project Management & Contract Administration) activities ensuring compliance with Defence or other Government processes frameworks and assurance requirements.
  • Contributing to maritime design project phases including concept development design reviews and integration of stakeholder inputs.
  • Coordinating technical and nontechnical information between engineering project management and commercial teams.
  • Assisting with project scheduling milestones deliverables and progress tracking.
  • Ensuring all outputs meet Commonwealth quality security and governance standards.

Development of Functional Requirements & Business Cases

  • Leading or contributing to the development of functional and technical requirements for maritime capability initiatives.
  • Conducting needs analysis gap assessments and solution option analysis to inform decisionmaking.
  • Preparing business cases aligned with Defence Capability Life Cycle (CLC) frameworks and relevant policy guidance.
  • Supporting the creation of cost estimates benefits assessments and risk evaluations for capability proposals.
  • Ensuring documentation is clear defensible and supports approval pathways through Defence committees.

Stakeholder Management & Engagement

  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with Defence stakeholders across SEG Navy NSSG CASG industry partners and internal teams.
  • Facilitating workshops consultations and briefings to gather input and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Representing the organisation in stakeholder forums working groups and governance meetings.
  • Managing expectations resolving issues and ensuring timely communication of project updates and decisions.
  • Preparing stakeholder-facing materials including presentations reports and strategic communications
