Job Summary
About the role
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to support ongoing plant reliability at a busy workshop near Lytton. This role focuses on preventative and breakdown maintenance across fixed plant and equipment working closely with Operations and Engineering to keep production moving.
Key responsibilities
- Preventative routine and breakdown maintenance
- Gearboxes bearings pumps motors hydraulics & pneumatics
- Crusher rebuilds (Symons Vickers Pegson Hazemag)
- Gearbox and bearing removal/refitting
- Metal fabrication and mechanical repairs
- Accurate maintenance records and job costing support
Qualifications / Experience required
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Forklift ticket
- EWP Scissor Lift
- Able to pass pre-employment medical & testing
Desirable but not essential:
- Welding experience
- Riggers or Confined Space tickets
Whats on offer
- $63.25/hr including afternoon shift allowance
- Afternoon shift 2pm starts
- Penalties and occasional overtime available
- Full-time hours with temp to perm opportunity
- Workshop-based role near Lytton
