Oregon State Treasuryis recruiting for the position ofSeniorSecurity Architect. This positionis responsibleforarchitectingand managinginformation security systems andsolutionsto protectinformation resources.
Job Duties Summary
Design integrate and evolve cybersecurity architectures for systems and networks with multilevel security requirements incorporating and advancing Zero Trust principles such as least privilege segmentation continuous authentication and adaptive access controls.
Lead the configuration integration and continuous tuning of security monitoring detection and response platforms (e.g. SIEM XDR CSPM).
Perform security and design reviews for new systems and servicesidentifygaps in security architecture and recommend strategic improvements by embedding best practices and controls early in the solution lifecycle.
Architect andmaintainenterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions spanning on-premises and cloud environments.
Determinethe protection needs (i.e. security controls) for the information system(s) and network(s) anddocument appropriately.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve our cloud security capabilities as we execute on our cloud strategy.
Align security architecture and controls with industry frameworks and benchmarks such as NIST and CIS Benchmarks.
Serve as a trusted security advisor to technology engineering and leadership translating complex security concepts into practical strategies.
Collaborate with SOC and incident response teams to refine alerting automation and response playbooks for continuous improvement.
Work Schedule
This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid (remote and in-office) work location schedule; in-office work will bepredominately fromTreasurysTigardoffice.The schedule will beapproximately 90%timespent remote with a minimum of eight times per year in-office presence spread over each quarter of the year.Additionaldays in the office may be.
During the initial training period employees are expected to be in the office more frequently to support onboarding learning and collaboration.
Salary Range
$91404- $138420annually.
Note: Effective February1 2026 the compensation plan for this position will be increased to reflect a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) of2.5%. The salary listed in this posting does not reflectthe COLA.

RequiredMinimum Qualifications
Seven (7) years ofinformation systemsexperience in security architector related role; OR
AnAssociatesdegree or higher inComputer Science Information Technology or relatedfield OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program ininformationtechnologyor related field; AND 5 years ofinformation systemsexperience in a securityarchitector related security role; OR
ABachelorsdegree inInformation Technology Computer Science or related field AND three (3) years of experience in a securityarchitector related security role; OR
Masters degree inInformation Technology Computer Science or related field AND one (1) year experience in a securityarchitector related security role.
