SUMMARY: Assists Social Services Manager with maintaining client records in Central File. Will follow directives regarding collecting sorting and filing client data as it relates to programmatic and confidential information. Will assist in organizing and purging client records. Documentation from internal departments and will sort chronologically numerically alphabetically and by subject matter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collecting documentation from various sources
- Assessing organizing and sorting documentation.
- Creating and updating files and filing documentation in appropriate files.
- Purging outdated files following protocol or moving files to other locations for storage.
- Scanning files regularly to ensure their correct positions and to search for missing records.
- Retrieving records on request and forwarding these to relevant parties.
- Making copies of and delivering records as directed.
- Executing authorized changes to filing system as directed.
- Receiving and forwarding mail and courier packages.
- Alerts Social Services Manager to any anomalies discovered re duplicative documentation missing documentation etc.
- Performs other essential tasks as needed or directed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in an office setting preferred.
- Previous clerical experience helpful.

Emotional stability and maturity with a genuine interest in working in this field.
Strong organizational skills.

Ability to use a computer and word processing program.
