Job Duties
Under supervision the Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the HR Operations related to qualification reviews recruitment and onboarding employment and other related HR functions.
Handle onboarding of new hires data entry and review of employment documents.
Ensures all required background checks are completed
Ensures onboarding emails are sent to all candidates in a timely manner.
Following up with potential candidates regarding document submission and any HR related questions
Act as the point of contact between the candidate and the Recruiters and Department Leaders.
Reviewing onboarding documents for completeness including I-9 E-Verify and work/education verification professional licenses/certifications.
Review and process employment actions in UltiPro.
Ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely; may perform transactional work in the absence of others
Support other HR staff
Ensuring all relevant HR practices and policies are being followed
Maintaining accuracy and integrity of UltiPro (HR system of record for employee data); ensuring all personnel files are maintained.
Ensuring all onboarding is done following standard work and policy; including obtaining all relevant documents needed for clearance to ensure that the candidate will achieve the intended start date-New Employee Orientation.
Other Duties
Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization
Requirements
Transactional Human Resources experience including onboarding preferred.
Working knowledge of UltiPro-preferred
Strong customer service skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Solid Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Ability to learn and apply new information
Ability and willingness to work extended and flexible hours as needed to accomplish goals
Experience working with union workforce preferred.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and work within aggressive timeframes
Education
High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and two (2) years of relevant experience in human resources administration labor relations employee relations learning and development talent acquisition customer service (providing information and resolving customer concerns) or a related administrative support function preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience within posted range
$47000- $52000/Year
