This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager


Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost quality and on-time delivery of product. Each day you will participate in the sequence definition cycle time calculation and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. You will also showcase your expertise by sharing cycle time data with internal teams.

The work model for the role is onsite #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Automation Energy Industries Division in Sugar Land TX.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Preparing technical documentation regarding the process phases related methods and cycle times.
  • Supporting production during start-ups by training indirect and direct staff.
  • Ensuring that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.
  • Participating in the definition of action plans training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.

Qualifications for the role
  • Associates degree preferred or high-school degree and comparable military technical training
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a distribution environment preferably in continuous improvement quality or inventory control.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word); SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as pallet jack.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations.
  • Detail-oriented team-focused and flexible to work different shifts and overtime with little or no notice.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
