Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Telemetry Technicianfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Long Island City NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous ECG monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Assess identify and respond to abnormal or life-threatening rhythms in real-time
- Initiate emergency codes or alerts in response to critical rhythm changes
- Manage and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment safely and effectively
- Accurately document ECG readings alarms and relevant patient data
- Communicate patient status and monitoring results to nurses physicians and healthcare staff
- Enter orders into the system and retrieve lab results for charge nurse review
- Properly place electrodes for accurate ECG recordings across clinical settings
Required Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current (AHA or Red Cross)
- Dysrhythmia Course current
