Assistant Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least three years teaching experience in K-12 school
- Amasters degree in administration or curriculum; certified in building administration or eligible to obtain such certification
- Evidence of leadership in the profession through active participation in a variety of areas
- Experience with Career and Technical Education
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO: Principal
SUPERVISES: Building certified and classified staff
JOB GOAL:The assistant principal must work closely with the staff and administration to support the vision mission and objectives of the board of educations strategic plan.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Assistant Principal shall supervise all functions of theassigned high school academic departmentsof the school district.
- Preparation and implementation of thebuildings school improvementprograms. Prepare reports and maintains records as required by statute.
- Completes teacher and other staff evaluations.
- Develops and implements goal areas as defined by the district strategic plan.
- Supervise events before and after school hours.
- Works in conjunction with and assists the administrative team.
- Supervises the preparation accurate completion and timeliness of state and federal reports for the purposes of compliance.
- Assists in maintaining safety within the school building and at school events.
- Advises the principal on student and staff matters.
- Attends professional learning opportunities for the purposes of keeping his/her professional skills and knowledge current with changing laws and regulations.
- Observe district policies at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or district directors.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:10 1/2 months
SALARY RANGE:Based upon qualifications and experience
