JOB Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

LOCATION Manchester

TERM Permanent

SALARYper annum dependent on experience

My client designs and delivers fire services to commercial and domestic clients. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.

The Fire & Security Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar ideally in Mechanical Engineering

At least 5 years experience in a similar role would be preferred
3D CAD Design Experience in the fire industry
Mechanical / electrical Installation experience would be beneficial
Be a hands-on practical engineer
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Be a team player with a positive attitude
Be a mentor to junior/graduate engineers
Have a full UK driving licence

The Fire & Security Engineer role will involve:

Hands-on servicing installation and maintenance of fire and security systems
Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
Working within a small team to deliver a quality service to customers
Travelling to and from customer sites for around 2 hours a day
Occasional further travel in the UK e.g. to Scotland or Wales
