Job Summary

Role: Mainframe Developer

Location: Columbus OH

Key Responsibilities

Design develop enhance and maintain COBOL applications running on IBM Mainframe platforms.

Develop and support online and batch applications using CICS JCL and VSAM.
Create modify and optimize batch jobs using JCL SORT and utilities.
Work with VSAM datasets and flat files including file layouts access methods and performance tuning.
Use SCLM for source control versioning and promotion across environments.
Interact with schedulers (CA7) to design troubleshoot and optimize batch job flows.
Support file processing and analysis using tools such as File Manager.
Perform impact analysis root cause analysis and production support for mainframe applications.
Collaborate with architects business analysts and upstream/downstream teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Follow enterprise coding standards documentation practices and change management processes.
Perform unit testing system testing and integration testing for mainframe applications.
Develop and execute test cases for COBOL CICS and batch programs.
Validate data integrity across files VSAM datasets and interfaces.
Identify analyze and resolve defects; work closely with QA and business teams for issue resolution.
Support production validation regression testing and post-implementation verification.
