Overview
Access Vascular is seeking a hands-on Director of Marketing & Product Management to own the strategy development launch and commercialization of our vascular access product portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of product management product marketing clinical messaging and digital marketing and is critical to driving adoption of Access Vasculars anti-thrombogenic catheter platform. This individual will serve as the central product and marketing leader partnering closely with Sales Clinical R&D Regulatory and Executive Leadership to translate clinician needs and clinical evidence into differentiated products compelling messaging and successful market adoption. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a small fast-moving medical device company and wants broad ownership from concept through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
- Own the strategic direction positioning and lifecycle management of Access Vasculars current and future product portfolio.
- Define product roadmaps based on market segmentation customer needs competitive dynamics and clinical evidence.
- Serve as the primary internal authority on product strategy value propositions and differentiation.
Upstream Product Management & New Product Development
- Lead upstream product management activities for new product initiatives including:
- Voice of Customer (VOC)
- Market Requirements Specifications (MRS)
- Market and segment analysis
- Partner with R&D Engineering Clinical and Regulatory to translate user needs into product designs and development priorities.
- Support formative and summative usability studies ensuring clinician feedback is captured and incorporated.
- Contribute product insights and user needs documentation to regulatory activities including pre-submissions and 510(k) filings.
- Track development milestones and ensure cross-functional alignment from concept through clearance.
Downstream Product Marketing & Commercial Support
- Own all downstream product marketing activities including:
- Messaging and positioning
- Sales enablement tools
- Training materials FAQs and field communications
- Serve as the primary product contact for Sales Clinical Specialists and key customers.
- Partner with Sales Leadership to understand territory-level trends objections and competitive pressures.
- Support key customer accounts with product education workflow optimization and implementation resources.
- Maintain and continuously update product documentation competitive comparisons and sales tools.
Launch Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end launch planning for new products including:
- Messaging frameworks
- Sales training
- Promotional and digital assets
- Launch readiness checklists and dashboards
- Coordinate cross-functional launch meetings to ensure alignment across Sales Clinical Operations and Supply Chain.
- Track launch KPIs and adoption metrics; adjust strategy based on early market feedback.
Clinical Messaging KOL Engagement & Thought Leadership
- Develop and refine Access Vasculars clinical messaging in partnership with key opinion leaders in vascular access.
- Coordinate advisory boards clinician feedback sessions and ongoing KOL engagement.
- Ensure all claims and messaging are evidence-based differentiated and aligned with FDA-cleared labeling.
- Support clinical education initiatives podium presentations publications and conference strategy in collaboration with Clinical Affairs.
Digital Marketing & Brand Presence
- Own Access Vasculars digital marketing strategy including:
- Website content and user experience
- LinkedIn and social media presence
- Email campaigns and launch communications
- Develop and execute digital content calendars supporting product launches clinical data and company milestones.
- Monitor performance metrics optimize engagement and ensure brand consistency across all digital channels.
- Partner with internal and external creative resources to develop high-quality digital assets videos and graphics.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
- Act as the central hub for product and marketing communication across the organization.
- Work closely with Sales Clinical Engineering Regulatory Operations and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment from product concept through commercialization.
- Support Operations and Supply Chain with demand forecasting SKU planning and product lifecycle decisions.
- Provide clear concise updates on product status customer insights and competitive intelligence to leadership.
Qualifications
- 815 years of experience in medical device product management and/or product marketing preferably in hospital-based or vascular access markets.
- Proven experience leading both upstream product development and downstream commercialization.
- Strong understanding of usability VOC MRS development and regulatory-adjacent product documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to translate clinical data into compelling compliant marketing messages.
- Experience working directly with clinicians and KOLs.
- Comfortable operating in a lean high-accountability startup environment.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership communication and execution skills.
