The Opportunity:

Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts and Commercial Specialist to manage end-to-end contracting activities including drafting reviewing negotiating and administering supplier agreements while ensuring strong governance and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This is a 2-year fixed term contract based in Perth.

You will play a key role in delivering best-value outcomes through strategic sourcing commercial negotiations and effective supplier performance management working closely with internal stakeholders legal teams and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-award activities including RFQs EOIs ITBs and supplier evaluations.
  • Develop sourcing and commercial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to achieve best-value financial and risk outcomes.
  • Draft negotiate and administer contracts through to close-out.
  • Coordinate legal responses to supplier contract exceptions.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Analyse pricing structures and identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage disputes or claims where required.
  • Conduct post-contract reviews and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulatory and internal commercial policies.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and unexpected challenges.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement in contracting processes and governance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in a similar contracts or commercial role.
  • Experience at a senior level managing complex high-value contracts.
  • WA C Class Drivers Licence (required).
  • Degree in Procurement Law Business or related discipline (desirable).
  • Excellent written verbal numeracy and computer skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
