As a Registry Technician you will perform technical procedures essential to the concurrent duplication and management of cancer data files. Your work will involve executing complex record linkage multiple primary determination and data item consolidation while adhering to quality control protocols to ensure the accuracy consistency and validity of consolidated records. Utilizing specialized knowledge of medical terminology disease processes and established state and national program standards you will investigate and resolve data discrepancies recommend appropriate follow-back to reporting facilities and implement revised criteria to maintain data integrity as national standards evolve. Furthermore you will monitor facility-specific reporting trends provide ongoing quality feedback to field staff and assist in the preparation of data quality analysis reports to support the bureaus public health objectives.
