Food Operations Supervisor (Harrah's Joliet)

Harrahs Joliet Hotel & Casino is seeking a Food Operations Supervisor to lead daily operations for TortazoChef Rick Bayless vibrant Mexican conceptand Cross Street Grill. This full-time leadership role oversees high-volume food and beverage operations delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing team performance labor inventory cost controls safety and compliance. Lead daily operations for Tortazo and Cross Street Grill to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service standards
Supervise coach and develop team members while fostering a positive team-focused work environment
Manage labor scheduling and staffing levels to support efficient high-quality service
Oversee food preparation and service to maintain consistency quality and presentation standards
Monitor inventory supplies and cost controls including daily financial reporting and operational audits
Enforce appearance safety sanitation and regulatory compliance standards across both outlets
Conduct routine inspections of service kitchen prep storage and equipment areas
Communicate operational updates and opportunities to Food Operations leadership
Support hiring training performance management and team development initiatives
Recommend improvements to menus procedures and operations to enhance quality efficiency and profitability

Physical Mental and Environmental Demand:

• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke high noise levels bright lights and dust.
• Position requires 10% standing 15% sitting 75% walking.
• Requires some twisting and climbing.
• Requires frequent bending stooping and reaching overhead bending pushing and kneeling.
• Must be able to respond to touch speech taste smell aural and visual cues.
• Fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external contact.
• $52000 Annually .

Shift Details:

• Monday Tuesday off Wednesday Thursday & Sunday 3:00 pm - 12:00 pm Friday & Saturday 7:00 pm - 4:00 am

Please note that the schedule may vary based on the operational requirements of the business so flexibility is essential.

• Bachelors Degree preferred
• 2 years of management experience in high-volume quick-serve or casual dining preferred Strong leadership communication and guest service skills
• Knowledge of food cost controls and restaurant operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems (Micros preferred) Flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
• Internal candidates must meet Harrahs Joliet transfer eligibility requirements Job Demands Lift and carry up to 20 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
