DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a Field Service Engineer specializing in busbar systems for data centers. This role involves performing installation testing commissioning maintenance and troubleshooting of busbar power distribution systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise hands-on experience and a commitment to safety and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform site surveys site measurements and preparation for busbar installation.
- Verify and inspect busbar system connections including installation of joint component parts busbar conductors insulators and support structures to align with Vertiv installation standards.
- Ensure all busbar system installations comply with relevant electrical codes standards and regulations.
- Perform multi-level testing of busbar systems such as Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Site Acceptance Testing (Cx3 Cx4 IST) in accordance with site requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections including thermal scanning to identify and rectify hotspots or potential system failures.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance the longevity and reliability of busbar systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in busbar systems including replacing damaged components.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Power Systems or a related field.
- Proven experience in busbar system installation commissioning and maintenance within data centers or critical power infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes standards and safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience with thermal scanning power distribution systems and troubleshooting electrical faults.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and installation manuals.
- Experience with testing and commissioning procedures for electrical distribution systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Certification in Electrical Safety or Busbar System Installation.
- Experience with critical power infrastructure in data centers.
- Familiarity with Vertiv products and installation standards.
