About the role
Were looking for a Software Engineer to join SEEK and help us build products and platforms that deliver real value to our candidates hirers and internal teams across APAC.
As a Software Engineer youll be an intermediate member of our engineering team. Youll build and maintain technical solutions improve the health of our platforms and contribute directly to team productivity and customer outcomes. Youll work in a cross-functional squad collaborating with engineers product and design to deliver user-centric reliable and scalable software.
About the team
Online Identity sits at the heart of SEEKs hirer and candidate experiences. We build and run the secure login registration and account capabilities that people use every time they interact with SEEK.
Were two tightly connected teams Online Identity Experience and Online Identity Services working as a tribe. Experience owns the customer-facing flows and journeys; Services provides the identity platform tools and frameworks that other SEEK teams rely on to authenticate users and protect their data.
Many of our systems are mission-critical and we partner closely with Auth0 to design and operate secure scalable and highly available solutions. Its a great place to deepen your expertise in Auth0 and modern identity management while solving complex problems that are core to SEEKs products and platform.

Key responsibilities
Build
- Work with other engineers to build test deploy and maintain software from development through to production.
- Contribute to platform health so our systems are reliable resilient and efficient.
- Develop software using current engineering best practices and patterns that are fit for purpose.
- Build software in alignment with SEEKs technology strategy and existing frameworks.
- Work effectively within the teams DevOps environment.
- Troubleshoot and respond to production incidents through to resolution.
- Develop cloud-first software (and mobile apps where applicable).
Execute
- Consistently write clean well-tested readable code using secure coding practices current patterns and tooling.
- Collaborate closely within your squad to deliver high quality software.
- Contribute to Agile rituals and practices (stand-ups planning retros etc.).
- Apply secure coding practices in all development work.
- Communicate in a timely clear and empathetic way with team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a DevOps culture through effective collaboration and regular reflection.
- Understand your customers and their needs and factor this into all development decisions.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
Youre a Software Engineer who:
- Has experience building and maintaining production-grade software in a team environment.
- Understands and applies software engineering best practices (testing code review CI/CD secure coding).
- Is comfortable working in cloud-based environments and modern DevOps practices.
- Enjoys collaborating in cross-functional squads and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Is customer-focused with a passion for building user-centric reliable and scalable solutions.
- Is open to learning feedback and continuous improvement both personally and as part of a team.
