The Position
In this role you will be responsible for the smooth flow of paperwork between judges and clerks office. You will type and perform judges edits on all correspondence orders and documents authored by the judges work files with pending motions distribute orders signed by the judges set hearings and process Master Reports. Other responsibilities will include managing the Magistrate calendar working files from court receiving and screening all telephone calls and visitors to chambers act as a backup In-Court Clerk when needed and perform other duties as assigned.


The Work Hours
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experienceAND the ability to keyboard at least 40 words per minute (net).

Substitution:

Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a month-for-month basis.

Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience.

Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary paralegal or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a month-for-month basis.

KEYBOARDING CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
