Summary: KCC a leader in the climate control technology industry is looking for anexperienced Electrical Engineerto join ourNew Product Developmentteam and help shape the next generation ofproducts. This role combines technicalexpertisein commercial HVAC and electrical system design with hands-on this position you will be working independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Engineering Sales Manufacturing Logistics and Purchasing whoare responsible forthe design support and manufacturing of commercial HVAC equipment. Responsibilities: - Product Design:Designandvalidatecommercial HVAC systems usingprovenwiringschemesandcollaborate withmechanical refrigeration and designengineeringteams todevelopnewtechnologies.
- ProductDesign Validation:Conduct safety and performance testingwith an experienced team of engineersto ensure reliable and safe productsatKCCsstate-of-the-arttesting and analyze key datato verify design goals.
- Product Support:Support the constructionand documentationof prototype equipmenttoensure manufacturability and ease of new products for launchbydeveloping product specificationsandreviewing customer-facing data.
- Workflow Optimization:Facilitateefficientdesignand documentation processesby incorporating automationand intelligent workflows.
- Hands-onVerification:Become an expert on thephysicaloperationelectricalservicingand programming ofKCCs prototype equipmentandconfirm all systems and routines arefullyoperational andoptimizedfortesting.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in electrical engineeringorminimum5yearsexperiencein relatedfield.
- Ability to read andinterpret electrical wiring diagramscomponentspecifications ladder/function-blocklogicand relevant standards.
- Capable of using common hand tools Gagesmultimetersand hand operated power equipment.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft products AutoCAD ElectricalAutoLISP.
- Strong decision makingorganizationaland analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome unforeseen obstacles.
- The ability to diagnose electrical circuits ranging from 24V AC/DC up to 575VAC.
- Knowledge & training in electrical hazards Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety in an industrial setting is preferable.
- Knowledge of applicable codesincluding but not limited to NEC UL60335-1 ULis a plus.
