Primary Role:
The ideal candidate will handle basic technical support duties for the TMSA Charter Schools. The Technology Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional to assure the efficiency and effective use of technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in systems engineering and management
- Information Technology experience: 1-2 years
- Public charter school experience ( plus)
Skills:
- System administration experience with Windows Mac OS Chrome OS operating systems and G Suite (Google) applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present and effectively explain technology solutions to staff in non-technical jargon
- Knowledge of standard networking equipment and design standards (voice and data)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and set up audio-visual equipment
- Manage the storing and re-deployment of classroom equipment around extended school breaks (winter spring and summer)
- Help maintain asset management systems and manage paperwork generated by equipment assignment and recovery
- Work with vendors to arrange repairs and return repaired equipment to schools
- Provide IT support to all staff and students; install manage maintain troubleshoot diagnose and repair all IT devices (hardware and software) within school buildings
- Install new cameras making sure that all areas/rooms are covered properly
- Monitor all cameras making sure that they are working properly at all times
- Install set up troubleshoot IP phones and training staff on how to use them
- Present and effectively explain technology solutions to staff in non-technical jargon
- Install printer drivers for (new) laptops
- Install DSP controller for smart boards
- Updated software for teacher/student laptops
- Create email/active directory accounts for staff and students
- Change display for Chromebooks and laptops as needed
- Set up sound/microphone system for auditorium and events
- Monitor wifi system
- Maintain copiers and train staff on the use of the copier
- Set up the laminator and train staff on how to use it
- Monitor google admin GoGuardian and firewall
- Maintain chromebooks ipads and carts
- Install cables (lan and HDMI)
- Monitoring software keys (smart notebook windows microsoft office)
- Change laptop batteries/adapters as needed
- Update and maintain the school website
- Set up and maintain an inventory management system
- Recycling the unused stuff in the IT room
